I think it has to do with a relationship between 2 people. It seems like he doesn't even want to be with her " suffocating in this tie". Maybe she's too demanding and needy. She told him something out of character or maybe a secret she had hidden and now he's not really into her anymore and she's just wasting her time trying to stay with him and she's shocked that he's now going away from her and moving on. That's just what I think. |

I think it's about an outgoing girl who he is obsessed with. She has alot of friends and tons of people that help her out and back her up. She's never alone. Maybe he wants her to be completly opposite of that. He wants a girl that he can "save" and support. There's no fist ( abusive boyfriend or person) to save her from though. She has a good life and he can't really walk up and start talking to her because first off, all of her friends are always with her, and theres nothing he could say to her really. " You knock me out". It's so hard trying to talk to you. " I want to be much than more while I watch you" He doesn't want to be so shy around her, but he still is. He wants to be interesting to her, to get her attention, to talk to her... and so do all of the other guys like him.
I love this song. The first time I heard it, was unreal. I had to keep playing it over and over again. The ending is just gorgeous. |

Love this song.
I pretty much agree with everyone else. I think he wants this girl and wants to take advantage of her. And maybe she ran into him at the wrong time because he just wants someone to have sex with...anyone. Maybe this girl is gullible and just dreamy all the time. He's going to lie to her, because he knows that she'll fall for whatever he says. " It makes you fly" He's probably trying to get her drunk so she'll sleep with him. That's just how I interpret it. |

I think this song is about someone wanting to be the big shot, popular person but for only one reason - to get the girl he likes. He doesn't like the person who has this girl, but he wishes that he was in his shoes so he could have her. "We lift our eyes, big surprise." We look up to you, but it's not that big of a surprise. You have everything we want and maybe we're a tad bit jealous. " I want to be like you, then I'd be cool... Maybe not". The popular person thinks they're loved by everyone but there are alot of people that don't like them at all. " A part of me gets sick, A part of me gets sore" He feels sick and sore because she's still with him, the popular guy.
A great song overall. I kind of agree with the whole cheating aspect also. |

LOVE this song! To me it's kind of like the saying " Have a taste of your own medicine". Do you like the way the water tastes? He's putting her through the misery he went through with her. Showing her how it felt to be him. Maybe he's just messing around in the relationship. " It's pretend... really"? He just acted as if he really liked her and then made her suffer for not having real feelings for him in the first place when he had feelings for her, and then the other way around the 2nd time. To me, It's about a relationship where one person is "using" the other person but the person that is being used does'nt know. He knows how she is now though. He gives her another chance but she's still continuing with her bad habits and just " wasting his time". Probably totally wrong =/ |

First one of these I've done so hang with me... To me, this song is about being differn't obviously. He believes that there is something missing with the world today, somethings wrong with it. He seems not to care though. He just gives up - "Im out". There's nothing he can do about it, he's just going to sit back and watch the madness of everyone basically. |
