i like the slow version better. it has a few small lyrical differences; as well as enhancing the mournful tone. i think it's saying that 1. there will always be evil; even when you think you got rid of it all-"hate will go on." 2. that evil may sometimes be a matter of perspective. 3. even wicked witches aren't as simple as black & white. :) the slow version says "everything she is longing for/it truly should be hers". that's a BIG difference from this one. much stronger words & a more positive tone toward the wicked witch. |

vindicator, i think you may be onto something. the song goes from positive to so negative very abruptly. but i'm not sure the "new life" is a literal child. it might be a metaphor for some other type of relationship gone bad. |
