I disagree about it seeming like there are no rough times. I think this song is merely promoting a simple approach to complicated rough times: "Face forward, move slow, forge ahead...Onward" It sounds like he's been inspired by someone stronger than him, the courageous captain, and he's trying to be like that in order to get through his own rough times. That's my opinion. I enjoy the song a lot. |

I think you're right but I still think it's more than that. I think it's about finding someone who you think is perfect and everything you've ever looked for, and then not being able to have that for some reason or another. And maybe it's better that way, because then they'll always be on that perfect pedestal and you'll always have something to reach after. But who knows. It's kind of a bittersweet song, except upbeat and amazing. |
