| Blind Guardian – Wait For An Answer Lyrics | 19 years ago |

Actually taking a better look at the song I can intepret it a little differently We're the last descendants In the line of valiant soldiers We're mistreated angels We are the blackbird nation, we're the chosen ones We're the last descendants We're the tribe of unsung glory We are the fallen angels Well the time is right you shall be on my (side) Definately about a certain european country between 1932 and 1945 The line of valiant soldiers are the Teutonic Knights, which the SS saw themselves as being a rebirth of. And one of the reasons that people don't get it is the fact that IIRC the original coat of arms for the first unified germany had a black eagle as it's standard. |

We're the last descendants In the line of valiant soldiers We're mistreated angels This might just be about the Knight's Templar. |

| Blind Guardian – Precious Jerusalem Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Actually given Blind Guardian's penchant for the Middle ages and Fantasy....and by the heading out for Jerusalem part, this could (and more than likely is) about Richard Cor Leonis (The Lionhearted.) The whole part about the fact that he's heading out for Jerusalem, and finds himself in desert lands, and defended the Kingdom of Jerusalem, this makes more sense than Jesus (though one can see with the whole eyesight to the blind part.) | |

Well yes this is about everyone's favorite Mage...and the one that's much better than that one pompous oaf from Toril... I can't tell if it's just a character portrait in song, or if this is more towards when he attempts godhood. |

| Corporate Avenger – voting doesn't work Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| If anyone doesn't believe what's being said here, remember how our president (Bush) was "elected" and the fact that even though some states have done some things that the people voted on (Medical Marijuana, and in Washington state, putting Marijuana use/posession at the bottom of the list) are pretty much overturned by the courts, besically your vote doesn't mean a thing in this coutry anymore since the folks who supposedly represent us really just represent the upper 1%. | |
| Corporate Avenger – Christians Murdered Indians Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| As Katarack said, it's a song about the bloody history of Christianity in the Americas, which still continues, instead of automatically going after the fact that they target Christianity for the fact that it has gone away from it's very simple message to a group that for every 2 Christians who actually follow their founders teachings, there's 8 others who say they're Christian, but their actions show their true face as people who aren't really Christian. Remember, Christianity in America pretty much has put a death sentence on the last place (by the 1800's) that could concievably have their "paganism" wiped out, all of the things in the spoken word portion is the real history you don't learn except from actually looking beyond what's taught in schools. | |
| Corporate Avenger – The Bible is Bullshit Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| For those who don't realize it, this is actually one of those songs that yes on the surface is Christian bashing (or we could say monotheist bashing) but if you look at it, it really just says the truth, the bible, the koran, and the bagavad gita were all books that were written by men, and have supported more wars than any other idea, and their slavish following is almost as much of a problem as lusting after someone. as far as the Jesus said this, most Christians don't follow the 10% of Jesus' teachings in the first place, if they did you wouldn't see supposed Christians trying to keep a Homeless shelter off of a church site, or the glorious Rev. Phelps being a moron. CA's major philosophy is almost a return from Biblio-Monotheism to the origianl oral Animism...which while it doesn't do anything for the ruling class is more individual. and as kmk put in much shorter words, the books of religion were written by man (sic) | |
