I dunno about you guys, but I really think this is the worst Guster song there is (not that that's saying much, considering how good all their songs are.) When I saw this song in concert, half the audience got up to go to the bathroom, stretch their legs, or whatever. |

I think that you have the right idea, but you aren't quite right. I agree that "you" is a girl who is unattainable, but I don't think she actually exists. I think that she is just the image of a "perfect" girl (shining like a work of art?) who the singer always feels like he almost sees in many girls, but she only exists in the sky. He is always "trying to get a closer view" and finding out if she is "who I think you are" but she is always out of reach. |

I think the singer is bored of his life not going well, so he's just leaving "to a holiday." No plan, he's just going. This song reminds me of "Come Downstairs and Say Hello" in it's message, but not in much else. |
