Fact 1: it's called "In The Fall".
Fact 2: The chorus mostly consists of "IN THE FALL, IN THE FALL...".
Fact 3: D-Day was on 6 July.
Fact 4: Fall doesn't start until 21 september.
Think about it. (Yes, I know there were several D-Days, but I doubt they are going to sing a song about a beach-landing other than the one on 6 July 1944.) |

I think it refers to the girl doing everything she could possibly do to hurt the guy, about whom this song is sung. She keeps shooting until there are no more bullets in the gun, so the hammer of the gun simply goes 'click'. The guy feels asif he hasn't been shot once, but about 6 (or more) times. Basicly, she hurt him in a lot of ways, imo. |

Am I the only one who has 3 versions of this song? A shot one (goodbye), one about 4 minutes long (with Strings) and a long version (+ 8 minutes). Love all three of them. |

Indeed, it is. First one I ever heard by EitS, and haven't stopped loving them since that first listen to this one.
Used it to start and end a film I made for school, and everybody complemented me on the great music the film had. Little wonder. |
