This song is about a guy who let a girl go because he was unsure of his feelings. He realized what he really wants is her and wants her back. She says its too late. I also have to agree, the lady kills it. It would be much better if it was just the regular guy's voice. I bet it'd sound much prettier ^.^ haha |

I didn't have time to read all of the comments given for this song but it seems that most people think this song is Shaun/John related. I think its John/Jesse related. From what I've gathered by reading on the net is that when Adam cheated on Michelle he *thought* he could trust Jesse so he told him. Then Jesse went and told John who told Michelle then broke up with him forcing John to leave the band. Correct me if I am wrong. "Well who did you call to get this? Well is it who I think it is? I swear to god I'm gonna kill him." Seems to fit this plot very well? Its like Adam asking where he got that he had cheated on Michelle but knowing it was more than likely Jesse. I figure that after finding that out anyone would want to kill the person that told. |

Just for the record to the people confused as to where Adam is from: He was born in Sheffield, Alabame but GREW Up in High Point, North Carolina. I think this song is about a relationship going nowhere. The girl obviously doesn't know what she wants and he's tired of that because he loves her and feels like they've been at this point for too long. Which is why "We're going die like this you know miserable and old" comes in. She chooses that she doesn't want anything to do with him. So then its him saying if she's sure about this and back and forth. As of the down south reference NO its not about a blowjob. I think its more about his customs of having serious relationships and she's not that kind of girl. When he sayd "You've been there once or twice and you still don't like it" may be a reference to how she's dated other Southern boys before and the same thing happens with them. This could be and this could not be the meaning but for now I'd like to this of this as the meaning of it, much more nice than sex and blow jobs :) |
