| Emery – From Crib To Coffin Lyrics

But there is always television. Distraction the last line in the song. Ignore your life get distracted, become bitter and forget to live for God. Throw only your prayers to heaven when your in need. Gosh the whole thing about the Trees dying goes along with the theme of how we need Christ the Source of all love, like mayber thats what it means to me, but I really think that is what is intended. Without Christ no one can live the true life the fullness of life so from Crib to coffin fits as a song title. We must work on love as we pay for our lack of love with death. We ignore our needs with TV... and well anything we distract ourselves with. |

| Emery – Can't Stop The Killer Lyrics

I've always thought this whole album was a view of how society has become in such a horrble state. Like this one about marriage, and how many people end up divorced and in other songs they all talk about things and troubles in this society. I don't know if its personal as from their video many of these situations are made up. With the divorce rate and the rate of unhappy people who need something to live for. ie Christ. |

| As I Lay Dying – Repeating Yesterday Lyrics

Anything about love is about sacrifice. God is love, when I hear the words what is love without sacrifice I see Christ sacrificing His divine/human life as our sacrifice. Anyone who knows Christs words there is no greater love than this to lay down ones life for his friends. knows love pretty much equals sacrifice. Love isn't just emotion, yes that is part of it, but as our great teacher (Aposlle Paul) knows love is never selfish. Much of what it means in this song I think... is that constant surrender to turn and love stronger than before and to never be satisfied. We repeat yesterday when we don't learn and build on the foundation to love. Its like our salvation, there is no one time commitment but a constant surrender to God. If there is no surrender no sacrifice we might as well be repeating yesterday. |

Anyway I think the filler on drums in this song is amazing!!! Mister thereisarisk don't be so single minded. Aaron writes from the heart and they have very deep Christian meaning to them. I'm guessing your one of those if you don't profess Christ as your lord and savior types who take whatever they were taught as solely how Christianity should be portrayed. Christ works in the world even invisibly through cultures as Christ came to save the world not just one part who recognizes a historical figure. Yes Christ is more than that but the Son works regardless of our petty knowledge or ill faith...
Point is Aaron doesn't have to say Jesus or Christ to portray something real and beautiful in Gods sight. |

I really like this song it is amazingly bamf. Especialy the druming! Go Jesse Sprinkle!
This song seems to be about being a leader and letting people down... which may be obvious. The hands are sins maybe their holding on still... The album seems to play toward they are sinners just like us and are kinda mad that we think they are perfect because they are considered Christian... I think it might be more complicated but meh. done. |

| Norma Jean – Pretendeavor: In Reference to a Sinking Ship Lyrics

I think this has to do with the insecure knowlege and lack of the unknown. lack of searching for the truth and this is the result of a sinking ship.
I've burned 41 hills for the love of academic ability... this might have to do with more and more people looking for work and abilities that might help in this world as far as skills or worldly desires for prosperity. We forget the greater questions of where we come form and why we are here. this is my take anyway. |

I think this about how emotions are the widow in many situations and that they can deter us from the truth... It rings true with what Metalcore man says... we need to separate the widow of emotion from the truth the bride... good work I wouldn't have formulated that without your help. |

| Norma Jean – Scientifiction: I. A Clot of Tragedy Lyrics

I don't think this song is completely about throwing out science... to me science and faith have no quarrell as long as science is done in the complete and most accurate way. I think he is attacking the notion that science and faith are in conflict. If God created how are we to know him better but to study his work and how he works? I think the song is overemphasizing the reliance on science in modern times as we are imperfect people. |
