Ahhhh, my breakup song. For me the protagonist of the song got betrayed his girlfriend. Get's dumped/Dumps her, and goes through the hell of an emotional breakup. The alternating love/hate lyrics of the third verse is the struggle of the protagonist reconcile his emotions. In the last verse, even as he states good riddance, the love still burns, and may burn forever. |
