sounds like me when i used to get high... ya its definately about someone jerry knew who was in a very poor state, it could be layne, but could be about anyone who is severely doped up and doesnt take care of themself. Which could be a lot of people. Just because layne is an easy target doesnt mean its him. |

Let it be, basically, im guessing. I like how he turns it around at the end. Instead of him its I. The first part w/ he i.e."He's not yours to save" may be coming from someone else. Then the author confirms what is said possibly sarcastically. I get the feeling this is saying "It's my life, if you don't approve that is fine, but let me be,.I'll live my life how i want.
Just a guess, if someone has a better idea I'd like to hear it, I'm open to interpretation. |

from what i've heard layne didnt try heroin yet when they wrote this album, so what previous posts said about it being about watching someone else's addiction, have a lot of weight, IMHO. Anyways, AIC is not all about drugs, so a big suk my bawls to those ignorant coksuking flamers. |

Seems pretty straightforward, unlike many of their songs which you have to delve into. Most of their songs r nothin but metaphors. So... dont have much to say on this one 'xcept it sounds cool and has an uplifting chorus that reminds me of being high^^ . |

Here's my guess: Sometimes you gotta take a blind step to find footing. Somtimes that step isn't secure and you fall. So you brush away the loose ground and you find your footing. Metaphor, can even be applied literally. |

In my opinion, it's about rehabilitation, and an abusive society. The video led me to believe this. Then again^^, it can mean whatever you want it too. Its has a very broad meaning, like most of AIC's stuff, its really hard to know for sure though. |
