i dont think it really matters what exactly... its what it means to you that matters... how you can make it yours. to me, i see this song being sung to me by my boyfriend... he cares so much about me and likes me so deeply, but i hesitate. i have walls up, shields held out in front of me. im warning him not to love me too much, for i can and may fail him. but yet he keeps opening his eyes and letting himself fall deeper into me. he tells me not to wait, not to hold back, because things have gotten too deep, too vested... we are too far in to easily pull away. but i cant let go and give it all... and he feels he has to tell me why i musnt let him go... tell me why he feels the way he does. and in the last bit, he is trying to explain to me that life is too short to waste away waiting and gaurding myself... that sometimes you just have to feel. maybe that is completely different from what some get from it, but that is what it means to me. |
