| The Offspring – Self Esteem Lyrics | 5 years ago |
| @[BigE254:35387] Yeah, you nailed it. I understood it instantly. He knows he's being used, he is fully aware, but he loves her and thinks he deserves it, and would rather deal with the abuse than to fully lose her. I envy those who do not relate to that interpretation of this song - it makes all too much sense to me. | |

This song is so amazing. I love the Clientele. I think it's about someone who's very depressed, but has a lover who makes them feel better when they're together. "and in your arms i watched the stars ascend and sweep a loneliness away for a while" |

| Eels – Trouble With Dreams Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Who hasn't felt this way... wanting something and even though it's a wonderful dream you don't know whether you should pursue it because it might end up leading to huge disappointment. | |
| Chris Bell – Speed Of Sound Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| This song is absolutely amazing. | |
| Hybrid – Choke Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I agree; I am now obsessed with this song after hearing it in the trailer. | |
| Gaelic Storm – Scalliwag Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I LOVE THIS SONG! The meaning seems pretty self-explanatory to me... A man pursuing a young-ish girl (he mentions her father) describing the things they'll do and the ways he'll find her... | |
| B.B. King – How Blue Can You Get? Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Yep, upfront, he gives and gives but she takes it for granted, and treats him badly... | |
| Värttinä – Matalii Ja Mustii Lyrics | 18 years ago |

I love this song; I first heard it on the TV show "Arthur" and it was the Binky Song. I found the English translation of the lyrics and was a little surprised to say the least! So us young girls let's do some singing so that others can hear us too. So that the village boys don't think we are all dumb. If sorrow comes along I'll throw it away but pleasure I will take with me. Everywhere I'll see a pretty boy I'll sleep over at his house. So this is how the best village boys are like? Like pigs in front of the drying house they push each other. And so are those boys just like they just came out from behind the stove She who will have any of those boys is completely mad. The village boys should be put into a tiny hole and squeese with pincers and bang with a hammer These village girls are not pretty at all The girls in our home village are beautiful like in a painting. These village girls are small and fat, short and black as tar glimps. These village girls are short and black ones The crows in our village are just like them. But I'm the little girl, little as a cat And I wouldn't stay anywhere else than in boy's room They say it's a sin and I guess it indeed is a sin When you start making out with that wild boy Ui ui ui... I loved you some and I loved other some too I just was playing around when I hugged and kissed you My boyfriend thought that I was longing for him No such thoughts at all! I had a new boyfriend already at sight before I dumped the old one Don't be sad, don't worry you poor boy I'll make a nice wife for you, drunk and lazy one My boyfriend is blaming me for heavy drinking But I'll be too tired to hug him if I keep drinking water like pikes do Oh there comes a pretty boy oh poor him 'cause he can't make up his mind who to choose 'cause there's so many of us. |

| Lifehouse – First Time Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I also thought it was about two people who have started dating/seeing one another and are starting to fall in love. "We're both looking for something We've been afraid to find It's easier to be broken It's easier to hide" Implying that they both want to fall in love, they both want to find someone who they can love and who will love them in return, but they're afraid: afraid they'll get hurt (again), and so it's easier to just give up and be hurt, and just run away from it all. Then they are starting to fall in love, and it's like being in love for the first time, the legendary first love that is supposed to only come once in a lifetime... And he is scared to "let her in" because he is afraid of getting hurt again... I don't know, whatever the lyrics might mean it is an amazing song. |

| No idea what this song means but it sounds awesome. Like all of their songs. | |

This is my all-time favorite song. It always makes me think of driving around with my best friend, windows down, talking about anything and everything. Today she is moving three hours away, and I am listening to this song... We were sure we'd never see an end, to it all... |

| The first few times I heard this I hated it, but I've grown to like it a little more. Not too sure about the meaning... lots of good ideas posted here though | |

Not much to say. This is my all-time favorite song. It reminds me of driving around with my best friend, windows down, talking about anything and everything. She is moving three hours away today, and I am listening to this song today. "We were sure we'd never see an end, to it all..." |

"Rollin in the ocean... ...tryin to catch her eye..." I love that part. |

| The Beatles – The Long and Winding Road Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I agree that the "Let It Be Naked" version is much better than the original version. The original sounds so super great until you hear the naked version. But either way, it's a beautiful song. | |
| Led Zeppelin – The Rain Song Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I agree everyone saying that this song is one of the most underrated Led Zeppelin songs. My friend introduced me to it a few weeks ago, and since then, I have listened to it over 150 times. I love the lyrics, the delivery of the vocals, and of course the awesome insturmentals. The perfect thing to listen to when you're feeling down. After all, everyone does have their times of rain. | |
| The Walkmen – We've Been Had Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I think Danny put it perfectly. This is one of my favorite songs, and you can see that you either have to laugh it off, or go insane that you can never get what they make seem so easy. I'm in college now and learning that first hand. | |
| The Clientele – (I Can't Seem To) Make You Mine Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This song is pretty self-explanitory, I guess... about a struggle for someone, but it never quite works out and life always pulls the other person away. I love the line "but the night has brought the rain, and the rain has brought the night." This is such a lovely song. | |
| Gwen Stefani – Cool Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
"Although, it seems as if she has lingering feelings for this man" I kind of have to agree with that. Although it seems as though both parties are perfectly happy being separate, I get a very slight sense of sadness, that the two might have been together and loved one another forever if things had turned out just a little bit differently. It has a sad sound to it, really. It's definitely my favorite song from LAMB. |

| Kanye West – Heard 'Em Say (feat. Adam Levine) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I adore this song. It is definitely my favorite rap song. Although some have criticised Adam Levine's part, I actually like it. I think it adds a nice contrast and gives the song more depth. I also love "nothing lasts forever" because that is the truth. | |
