I LOVE Konstantine. It means so much to me. It represents a time in my life, when there was only me and my best friend. Every one turned their backs on us, and it was just us against the world. .. and how our relationship has changed, for the better I think. ... He calls me his Konstantine. What I love about this song, is that EVERYBODY has their own Konstantine. Everyone has that one person, their Konstantine. I just tattooed the Number's 11:11 on my wrist because of what this song means to me. |

The first time I heard this song I thought that the reason her father was kicking her out, and her mum was upset was because she had just told them she was pregnant. So, back when, an unwed teenage mother was a no-no. Her "friend" being her baby's daddy is no where to be seen. Abandoned her, sadly. No where to go, she seeks refuge in a movie theatre and attempts to escape within the story. Alas, she's seen the film, many times, often using film to escape her life. ..As for the rest of the lyrics, I'm assuming Mr. Bowie's telling of the kind of world that the baby, and many others will be forced to grow up in. Possibly, ..Is there life on Mars to escape the hell we've made on Earth? |
