This songs seems to speak strongly against current U.S. foreign policy. "She's just like you....why cut a friend" - why act aggresively toward other countries. "Heel-toed to another place" - soldiers marching. "And maybe I'm the fool but I think we'd find That we could all be so so kind If you'd just leave your tread mill powertrip behind Oh leave your treadmill powertrip behind" - possibly alluding to the need to give negotiations and talks a chance over instant military action. "Treadmill powertrip" conjures images of tanks. The end of the song is full of militaristic and violent images. Just like to add that I saw these guys live and they were friggin' awesome. |
