I love the shift in this song, how it goes from shifting blame from Klaus to Gabbi. Most love-related songs tend to be in first person and blame the other person, but this song covers both sides and shows how they both are feeling the same way :) |

Without having read the other comments on sexuality and all that, I always just listened to this song and didn't think much of it. But, the line "Cause Andy, you're a star/In nobody's eyes but mine" I took to be no one else really cares about Andy (despite his apparent popularity).. and how the only legacy he'd leave would be the plaques, since no one'd remember him otherwise. (sad interpretation, yea..) |

I think this song's about investing time and effort into nurturing something to fruition, and seeing it grow into something wonder. Time passes by constantly. I love the shift in tone and then the line "When I stand I know I'll never be down again", emphasising the determined nature of the changed person. |

Literally, some guy fell in love with a girl in high school but never approached her.. and now it's too late, she's getting married.
For me it's a song premoting ACTION!-- don't just wait around and be passive while your dream girl gets married. He should have introduced himself back in high school (and then she'd at least know his last name, etc.)
I feel empathy.. the regret (he took no action), yet the stubborn instance ('marry me'.. even though we have no relationship), then the reality ('maybe not.. she don't remember me'.)
