haha, did the lead singer of wow, owls want to be Jay Greene or something? i don't mean it in a catty way, but cmon. Destination:Pizza! could be about Jay Greene and his post-modernist outlook on life and how the saying "Chaos is me!" became almost a catch phrase for their screamo scene whatever shit. "this is the sound of a million chameleons dying" could also be about the breakup of Orchid, or the breakup of any milestone band in any genre. Or it could be about kids in the scene finally growing up and finding who they are rather than trying to fit into some new fad or trend. whatever, i'm usually wrong about everything but I decided to put my two cents in. |

So when I saw Karen O perform this song, she covered up her face when she sang the bride part, so maybe it's "my faceless bride" but "faithless" works too, maybe I'm reading too much into her drunken performances. It's also amazing how poppy the chorus is, even with all the screaming. It's like dischord and a little kid's song hyped up on cocaine, and it works. |
