well, it's wonderful to debate something completely subjective, but i was thinking maybe to discuss what the lyrics actually mean... "true knowledge is knowing that you know nothing." that is operation ivy's take on wisdom. many people make up their minds on their viewpoints and stubbornly refuse to change them. opivy says that in order to gain knowledge, you must understand that ideas are all relative and you must continue to change your mind. "this time i got it all figured out" is irony. everyone tries to figure out the truth, and it always changes. nothing is black and white. |

antispace, i completely disagree with you. operation ivy's lyrics are usually much deeper than drugs, and i'm pretty sure none of them were druggies. this song seems to be about carpe diem, not drugs. |
