| Garth Brooks – Your Song Lyrics

I think this is about his mother, his wife (at the time, ha), his daughters, and even his fans. Truly it's a tribute to everyone who has supported him through the years.
I love this song. It makes me cry when his mother comes on stage in the music video. So sweet. |

| Simon and Garfunkel – Leaves That Are Green Lyrics

This is one of my favorite Simon & Garfunkel songs. I love the line, "I threw a pebble in a brook and watched the ripples run away and they never made a sound." It just shows how something that causes a stir can be barely noticed in the grand scheme of things.
I may stand alone, but I don't think this song sounds too cheery. I think it sounds more bittersweet, which definately fits the lyrics. Even though it's sad to lose a love and grow old, it's just a part of life and there are a lot of good things that happen along the way. Wow, I'm starting to get all emotional now. I should change the song. |

Definately the saddest lines are, "He sends you a poem and she's lost to you," and, "Child with a child pretending." Always makes me cry, but I'm a sucker for sad songs and this is definately one of my favorites. |

| Led Zeppelin – The Rain Song Lyrics

This song is definately one of Led Zeppelin's pinnacle recording moments. Even Plant said that this was his best vocal performance, and I have to agree with him. It truly is beautiful and I love the way it sounds when Page goes into the slightly heavier guitar and Plant sings, "I've felt the coldness of my winter, I never thought it would ever go." |

This song is one of my top 3 favorite Led Zeppelin songs. The feeling of this song is very powerful. Plant kind of sounds regretful or something. I don't know what it is exactly, but it's good! |

I love how the guitar comes in right after the "Poor Tom..." line. I thought Ramthar's comment was interesting. However, I don't exactly understand the lyric about the grandson on Tom's knee. Does anybody know what it means? |

I have to say that if anybody thinks CODA sucks, they haven't listened to the whole album. "We're Gonna Groove" is awesome. It's too bad that they didn't include everything that they included on the Complete Studio Recordings version of CODA. "Baby Come On Home" is one of their greatest songs. |

This song is amazing. Has anyone ever seen a live version? If not, you should. It's even better than the version on CODA. Jimmy Page is my hero. |

Actually RayMan, on songfacts.com it says that Robert Plant wrote the lyrics after he found himself literally drinking a cup of tea alone in his hotel room. However, you never know, maybe he was referencing drugs. |

Does anybody know who does the harmony with Plant when it comes to, "Little drops of rain..."? It must be Page or Bonham. It doesn't exactly sound like Bonham, but then again, Page wasn't exactly known for singing on any Led Zeppelin albums. |

When Page goes into that first riff right as the vocals start, it gives you such a strong feeling. Kind of makes you want to dance, I guess? I don't know, it's just an indescribable thing. |

| Led Zeppelin – Kashmir Lyrics

This song somewhat sums up Led Zeppelin. Robert Plant's vocals are amazing, Jimmy Page's guitar playing is brilliant, John Paul Jones' synthesizer work is awesome, and John Bonham, well, it's simply another of his great performances as the greatest rock drummer of all time.
I've listened to this song close to 100 times and I'm still not sick of it. I agree with the previous posters about how you can't even tell the song is long. When I'm listening to it, I never want it to end! |

This was the song that introduced me to Led Zeppelin. I heard it on the radio one night and I've been hooked ever since. I remember feeling very moved, almost to the point of crying. It's a beautiful song and one of my favorites. |

"Achilles Last Stand" is one of my top 3 favorite songs of all time. I really love Plant's vocals, especially in this song. He gives it such a powerful feel. Combined with Page's guitar playing and the "galloping" feel from Bonham and Jones, you can't go wrong! |

| Queen – Spread Your Wings Lyrics

I think, in a way, this song represents those of us who have a talent and a dream of being something more, such as a rockstar, but just haven't gone for it yet. The line, "Now it was time, he'd made up his mind. This could be my last chance." I think Sammy just really wants to break out of his shell, but nobody (including his boss) has any faith in him. Everyone thinks he should just "be happy at the Emerald Bar" because that's what his lot in life seems to be.
This is one of Queen's most inspirational songs and it's definately one of my favorites. |

| Led Zeppelin – Hey Hey What Can I Do Lyrics
| 19 years ago
|
This is one of my favorite Led Zeppelin songs. It paints such a good mental picture. You can see this sad, lonely guy wandering around town, looking for this woman that he loves. Even though this is written about a girl from a guy's point of view, I can relate it to a situation I'm currently going through. I'm not exactly dating a man-whore or anything, but the guy that I'm pretty much in love with is always flirting and hugging/kissing the other girls.
Oh, I think Plant is the one who sings backup vocals at 3:00 into the song. I don't think anyone else could hit those notes. |

This is just the perfect revenge song. I listen to it whenever I feel particularly betrayed by someone. The second verse is so powerful. I love singing along to it, even though NOBODY can even come close to Plant's vocals. He's the greatest singer, ever. |

In my opinion, this is the best Led Zeppelin song ever. Definately one of the most emotional, though "All My Love" and "Tangerine" are pretty emotional as well. Anyway, it's my all-time favorite song. |

At precisely 1:23 into the song, you can hear someone say 'Stop!' It has been rumoured that Plant said this because Page was making faces at him while he was trying to sing. |

I always thought this song was about someone who just went through the death of their boyfriend/husband and were trying to cope with the first Christmas after that tragic event. This song makes me cry everytime, I love it! For some odd, odd reason, I always think of Forest Gump when I hear it. |
