I dunno. I sorta think this song is about a friend committing suicide. "I close both locks below the window. I close both blinds and turn away. Sometimes solutions aren't so simple. Sometimes goodbye's the only way." He doesn't want to see or hear what they're doing. And with solutions aren't so simple, he feels like that what has to happen, and it's not easy. "And the sun will set for you And the shadow of the day will embrace the sun in gray" He's saying it's the end. They won't see the sun again. And that after they do it, the world just becomes gray. "Pink cards and flowers on your window, Your friends all plead for you to stay. Sometimes beginnings aren't so simple. Sometimes goodbye's the only way." The second line seems pretty obvious. And the last line, whoever's committing suicide feels like its the only way out. |
