| Say Anything – Alive with the Glory Of Love Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
when i first hear this song the radio dj said this song was inspired by his grandparents. i think the whole sex element isnt as important. i think its just an excuse to make scenery. hes saying that like he will do her "in front of the whole ghetto" and hes describing the type of situation and setting they are in... i found it awkward but after listening to it a few times....genius |

| Bright Eyes – Light Pollution Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| i think this song is in general talking about all the people that decide that this society and government is so bad but they never do anything to help it. instead they iscolate themselves from the "problem," but they create their own problems by not making any actions to help support their views. | |
| Bright Eyes – At the Bottom of Everything Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
"we must memorize nine numbers and deny we have a soul" that is one of the wittest lines i have ever heard. |

| Bright Eyes – Lua Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
this was the first bright eyes song ive ever heard and ive been addicted ever since. i dont think the little details are important. mainly this song is about lonliness and trying to fill in that hole with other things. and its him recognizing these problems in sombody else. this album is full of social commentary on america and whatnot and he presents different examples of lifestyles and things wrong with this country. i think this fits right in there. he may be putting down our society, but i think he is placing himself amongst the crowd, not seperating. so its more of a "this is my problem, but its a great example that this country is full of bad things" |

| Bright Eyes – Old Soul Song (For the New World Order) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| i feel this is an interesting song. it sounds like there was a riot of some sort due to one event or another and he got pictures of it. and i think "holding a camera like a bible" is not a comment on religion at all. its basically stating that he was hoping there would be "some kind of truth" in it. im guessing its a protest that turned into a riot. and maybe he is seeing the irony in it all: a war protest gets violent. so the truth is that nobody is at peace... | |
| Bright Eyes – Another Travelin' Song Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| i think this song is sarcastic almost. like it sounds very happy and catchy. but when you listen its a really negative song. like it makes it sound like he is singing about everything great about traveling, but he actually observes everything that is wrong with the country, himself included. | |
| Augustana – Boston Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| anybody else pick up on the line "i think i need a sunrise, im tired of sunsets" having a double meaning. like metaphorically meaning a begining and not an end... but in california you always see sunsets on the beach...as opposed to the east coast, or in this case boston, which has sunrises on the beach | |
| Bright Eyes – Arc of Time (Time Code) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
i always saw the theme of the entire album being the repetitions of life and how everything has some kindof pattern to it. i noticed in most of the songs she expresses different views of how people interpret the patterns or the "code" im not sure if hes encouraging religion or even some kindof intelligent design, or even encouraging anything. i think hes merely observing that everything has some kindof pattern and showing how people deal with interpreting the pattern. i see alot of these songs represetning the beauty of life... however with this song and a few other songs ive heard (not by bright eyes)...they reffer to a black balloon. is that symbol for something? ive never been able to figure that out |

| Dave Matthews Band – American Baby Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| i think this song is about how this world has lost its faith and good will, and that the "american baby," whatever he means by it, stands for the last bit of hope | |
| Jupiter Sunrise – Josie's House Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| i think this songs just like an obvervation on the simple and sweet things of life | |
| John Mayer – Stitched Up (With Herbie Hancock) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
this great song i think its about seeing a girl and thinking that shes way too outof your league and that shes the type of girl that probably catches every mans eye, and not willing to deal with that fact in a relationship |
|
| Augustana – Boston Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
whoever this girl is...she is very smart boston is amazing |
|
| Jupiter Sunrise – Kaye Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
this song got me hooked on this band. its probably their best song. i think that its probably about a girl that wouldnt stay for one reason or another. it sounds like hes willing to let go if she is... "Say anything you feel Maybe you can do it for the both of us And ill untie the rope" the rope being whats keeping them together and now he is "out there in the world" and he doesnt like it, because what he had was free of the bitterness of the world |

| Dispatch – Flying Horses Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
that actually makes alot of sense and i would totally agree with you but on the flying horses carousel, theres like...tons of rings. theres people that get like 20 rings a round. they come out of these little dispensers one by one and the idea is to try and hope you get the brass ring, which gives you a free ride. stealing one wouldnt be that hard because it probably wouldnt even be noticed but i like the idea of what its not what it used to be. |

| Oasis – Stop Crying Your Heart Out Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
this may not be what was intended, but i like to think the line "your destiny may keep you warm" could be reffering to a person like you hold them close and they keep you warm, and they are your "destiny" because your bound to being with them a little corny, i know. and by the way: this song MAKES the butterfly effect, and the ending scene amazing because of this song |

| Dispatch – Flying Horses Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
as many have said, the flying horses is a carousel on marthas vineyard. many people associate this place with their childhood, because many people go there on vacation. i think the ring from the flying horses is a symbol for whatever memory he has that he associates with it, and the fact that "its all rusty now" implies that whatever it was is now a fading memory. last time i went to the flying horses, me and my girlfriend stole a ring from it just like the song said. now whenever i look at it, it reminds me of her its probably the same idea conveyed in the song. the ring stands for his memory of whatever it is he assocaites with it, and the fact that its rusty implies that it is old, and a fading part of his memory the rest of the song you can have a ball with trying to figure out, i think alot of the song, if anything, holds more personal meaning |
