I always thought that the "I need to be bled dry to quit" line was making reference to when they used to use leeches suck the blood from people to cure mental illness? I thought it was pretty dark, but did anyone else think that?? |

The piano start to this song always gets me... It's like your heart starts beating in time to the rythym, slows you right down and you don't have a choice but to ....feel. |

I think Mr Man in this song is referring to her boyfriend by her side, not the delicious man across the room. Neither of them want to be unfair to Mr Man |

This song always gives me goosebumps.
My favourite line is: "but it's written in the starlight, in every line in your palm".... it is such a powerful reminder of our mortality. |

This song is so powerful. It makes me wish my skin colour was dark so that i could be a part of what he's singing about. It's mesmerising... |

I love how Fiona seems to have a song that fits every rugged solo emotion. Whenever I feel low but don't really feel ready to talk about it yet, I'll put her on and it's like having a conversation with your emotions. She speaks to you... and each line can be interpreted and re-read to relate to how you're feeling at the time. |

'He said it's all in your head and I said so's everything but he didn't get it'
I think this is talking about the "craziness" when "I went crazy again today...". He doesn't understand what she's going through or what she has to deal with and think she's imagining it, and that "it's all in her head".
She responds with "so's everything, and he didn't get it". I think this is referring to the philosophical view point that there might not be a real world, that everything you percieve of the world is only in your head. But that that's way too deep and over his head to get, he's too immature. She'd originally thought she'd found the right man to share these sorts of ideas and this sort of depth with, but it turns out "he's just a little boy" and he can't deal....
does that all make sense to anyone else? |
