I feel that this song is about how he is paranoid about his relationships with others. How he's always thinking about them, trying to keep them safe. The fact the these relationships are symbolized as a bomb, shows that he thinks of these connections as a double-edged sword that hasn't struck him yet. It's ticking...he's waiting for the day it hurt him-or rather they-but through he is anticipating it, he doesn't want the day to actually come. Wonderful song and lyrics. |
