i dont think that it has a specific meaning, like a situation. overall its about ("selon moi", according to me) how people give up for others all the time. I think its probably influenced of course by the sort of oppression an irishmen might have faced, and even the kind of typical condition in boston (theyre from boston neh?).
i love songs that have a strong emotion, and whaever its about, this one does it. |

Ive been listening to smash mouth since i was 10, and ive never listened to fads, or what was in, so i always thought this song was abouthow every thing was good, reeal good, then big business started making everything that ws cool, and turning it into fads. But ive always felt that you can love smashmouth no matter which group you come from. Because they've been heard for so many resons. You dont have to make a commitmnt to them, and that what i think they are trying to say is "hey, you can love us for one song, for three, becauuse youve liked us since the beginning, or if your new to it."
because music is not for only a certain type of "clique" or whatever. you can be a prepy rich kid, and its perfectly ok to like system of a down. Music is for everybody. So love it, live it, hate it, or pass it on.
Just a warning, make sure you like it(or love it) for the right reasons. |

When I hear this song, two things go through my head. the first is that it describes how i am . If something tries to stop me, knock it down, and spit in its face. The second is i imagine a mall, or a big crowd, ans i see myself walking through the crowd, not stopping when something tries to stop me and i have a presence in the crowd, and after a while people stop pushing and let me through.. |

Ive never even heard these guys, but i love the lyrics. I like sum 41 a lot. I think this song is saying that you have to do these things, and than moving on.
