this song to me in this moment in time...means pretty much everything to me. This song is about coping with hardships in life, and learning even though when they hit, they may hit hard, yet they dont last forever, and that its important to move on, and keep going. this song is my journal screaming out its words. I feel hurt and betrayed by those taht i put so much trust into, and that i really dont know where my soul is, and the harder i try , the harder it backfires on me. my pain is getting very old. sometimes i feel like i have kept emotions bottled up inside for too long. i feel like i have been too nice for too long, and someone just happened to burst my bubble. yet when i sit down and listen to this song, it reminds me of that hope in life. and gives me the hope and strength to move on. and let go. |

as i read a few of these responses, i noticed that some of them said things such as... no one cares about ur god damn childhood, or how ur father left you, and this so called "crappy shit" that is called music. Well I on the other hand have to say that this is one of the strongest and most powerfullest "rap" songs i have EVER heard. I am personally not a fan of rap becuase in my opinion mnay times it gives off bad messages, however I am a fan of eminem becuase he sings with so much passion. His songs are like a work of art, and what makes them wonderful is that he sings about what has happened to him. He owns his songs. I mean, compare this song to something like "candy shop" by 50 cent. What do u get from taht song? A song about sex. well thats just great... isnt it. Many rap songs send messages about profanity. This song sounds so great from the surface. "It all flows" some may notice how everything rhymes. But when you dig deeper to find the meaning, which you can't do to all rap songs, you find the meaning. So powerfully written. You only get one shot, do not miss your chance to blow This opportunity comes once in a lifetime yo that verse is so true. Im the music world, when it comes you have to decide will u take this, leave everything else behind. or will you give up a one-in-a lifetime chance? And these times are so hard and it's getting even harder Tryin to feed and water my seed, This verse helps the listener understand of just how hard it was for Eminem to get where he is today, and that it still is a struggle for him. he's trying to feed himself and his family, and he's also trying to continue his growth of his fame. | i have just heard about this song recently. I thought that this was a good song. I think that the meaning of this song i quiet deep, but its written so well. I know that one of my good friends has gone through a stage of depression. No one, no one would asssume she is having all of these feelings inside of her, and doesn't see her purpose to live. On the outisde she is a very kind and cheery...u would say...person. I think that this song points out that people are like taht. They hide thier feelings. I was following along with what d-shiznit wrote and i agree..all the way. Sometiems people hide what they feel becuse they feeel ashamed (which was the case of my friend) but like at the end of the song, you can't go on forever hiding your true feelings. Its hard to conceal deep feelings like that described in the song, and at a time one cant hold them anymore to themself. | |

| I ABSOLUTLY LOVE THIS SONG! its totally awsome! i love the lines ... behind my head, on the back of my mind. it just makes me thing that whoever she was dreaming of, she probably didnt expect them. Then found herself dreaming of them... but it was all just a dream and all dissapeared when she woke up to reality. Oh and when the line...the light it slipped through the window, the morning ripped u away..ohh.
