I find the voice at the end reminds me of the rabbit's voice in Donnie Darko. Such a great song. |

I agree.... I came on here to see if anyone else interpreted the first two lines the way that I did... •“I’m a stitch away from making it, and a scar away from falling apart” I think it is definetely a reference to 'Tim Burton's A Nightmare Before Christmas', in reference to Sally, the living metaphor, a person who is always so close to literally falling apart, inside and out. As soon as I heard the line I picked it up... I LOVE that movie. This song is yet another awesome FOB song. |

' Rock Fan 01' said that 'Give It Away' was about River Phoenix... wrongo! Hillel Slovak - Skinny Sweaty Man River Phoenix - Is mentioned in 'Give It Away' though the song 'Transcending' is actually entirely about him. Kurt Cobain - Tearjerker. Read Scar Tissue, educate yourself. That is all. |

Hey I know some people have said that the title of this song came from some other thing but I heard it in 'Dickie Roberts: Former Child star'. Did Dickie Roberts steal it from the song, or FOB steal it from Dickie Roberts?? Great song btw |

CORRECT LYRICS: It feels like I'm looking at life Through a telescope because I'm so high The ground never seemed so far away Truth shall be told one day I'll be under ground one day I've got a WOMAN that'll put roses on my grave (x2) Roses on my grave Feels like I'm looking at life Through a telescope because I'm so high The ground never seemed so far away Truth shall be told one day I'll be under ground one day I've got a WOMAN that'll put roses on my grave (x4) Roses on my grave Don't forget me Don't forget me Please forgive me Don't forget me It's my redemption, time for redemption Time for redemption, it's my redemption It's my redemption, time for redemption Time for redemption I'll see you on the other side I'm waiting on the other side I'll see you on the other side I'm waiting on the other side |

Paramour Sessions is an awesome Papa Roach album. I just thought I'd be the first to comment on this song. It's got a great rhythm throughout and is extremely catchy. |

One of my favourite songs on Paramour Sessions. Roses on My Grave is probably tied with it though. I'm not a huge fan of the verses but I LOVE the chorus. It's so catchy and just sticks in my head all day. Plus the music explodes at the chorus! And for those who can't work it out, if something is said to be 'Helter Skelter' it is disorderly and confusing. If you apply that meaning to the song lyrics it makes sense. |

I agree, this song is definetely one of the best, if not the best, song on Paramour Sessions. The orchestra sound behind the lyrics has so much power and emotion. It's amazing to listen to at the highest volume! =D |

| Fall Out Boy – Get Busy Living or Get Busy Dying (Do Your Part to Save the Scene and Stop Going to Shows) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
The poem at the end of this song desperately reminds me of something but I can't figure out what. It's not 'I'm a fake' by The Used but it really sounds like something and its really bugging me because I can't work this out. BTW I think this song is extremely catchy.... definetely one of the top songs of 'From Under The Cork Tree" |

| Panic! at the Disco – I Write Sins Not Tragedies Lyrics | 19 years ago |

Ok for those of you who have been fighting over who writes the lyrics, I don't believe it matters since there is such a thing as writing in a persona which I think is evident here. I think this song is about a groom (the singer), who overhears the bridesmaid talking to the waiter and wishes he had never heard what was said. But intead of acting irrationally he controls himself and tries to see a positive side to the events. He says that the marriage was saved and calls for a toast but the toast is not in celebration but to drown away his sorrows with alcohol. There are my thoughts, feel free to argue coz I know a lot of people on this site believe there is only one way to read lyrics and that way is THEIR way. Anyway this is an awesome song and no matter what it's about it still has a great meaning. |
