| awesome song! one of my favorites! as for the whole sex think, i dont kno weather it is or not, i have heard alot of different opinions. i've heard that every time BA performs the song live he says "this song is NOT about the year 1969" & it is true that he was only 9 in that year but Jim Valance (who helped BA write the song) DID grow up in 1969 (he was 17) & he says that the song has nothing to do with sex in his opinion (BA might have thought about it in a different way tho) but at the end of the song he does say "me and my baby in a 69" but he may be referring to a kind of car. you also have to consider the fact that the title of the song is "summer of '69" not "summer of 69"....any way I think its all depends on how you want to think about it ....personally, i prefer to think of it beign about the summer of 1969 | |
