| valnmu, you interpretation is a good one. but i think this song is about an asylum...hence the title, "Happy House." the way that its sung gives it sort of a "creepy-insane" feeling, which adds to my interpretation. read through the lyrics again, but with a loony bin in mind. makes some sense now, huh? | |

i like roachofdiscord's interpretation the best. i feel like this song is about the break-up of Jack Off Jill, and the transition that was made into Scarling. "It's a violent reaction The mixtape in your heart The answer you should know How we complicate, a simple mistake It’s the face you make when I go" ---its sort of the anger that Jessika had when JOJ began to split. she (or perhaps another member) had "violent reaction"s, etc. later in the song it can descirbe the depression that Jessika feels from the split, missing the days when JOJ was together. the song also talks about "drinking to forget", which can be drinking to forget all of the memories of past days. and then the chorus, of course, talking about changing...changing from JOJ to Scarling. i have to say, i like Scarling much more then JOJ...but i love both bands. Jessika is a lyrical genius and her vocals are absolutely amazing. |
