First, to sonicemerald... isn't the Bible Belt a region in the US known for their Christian values? I thought you were from the US and should know that... but maybe I'm wrong... I don't know...
In the end, I don't think they're so stupid to believe all christians are like the people in the song...
Fat Mike before singing this song live, in Argentina, said a couple of "funny" (??) things... like... "I hate christians (...) probably there are some christians in here... nothing personal agains you... but I-HATE-YOU (smiles)(...) We hate religion cuz it's fucking up the world (...) I hate muslims, jews, christians... buddhists are ok, I like buddhists! (laughs) |

Too many ppl got the wrong idea and started a John vs. Paul forum here. It's a good topic but the point here is to get the meaning I think. Only one person here mentioned the true genesis (and meaning I guess) of the song. Paul was trying to teach Klein how to write a song, and that's how he showed him and came up with the song: one of them would say something, the other was supposed to say the opposite. What kind of meaning do you think would come up of such composition method? Well, "composition" would refer more to the music, so let's just focus on the lyrics. Anyway, it shows how easy song writing is for Paul. |

Best song so far, for sure...
And again, he's talking about a relationship that didn't end up well. I say "again" because most of the new songs talk about something similar. I read a post somewhere saying Axl is a deppresive manicac or something like, stating that whatever that would hit us emotionally, it would hit him 100 times harder because of that. Makes sense... though, come to think about it, wtf do we know about Axl emotions? Anyways, great song, real clean sound... and yes, great song and sad at the same time. |

Definitely a break up. And though some lines may indicate she's cold and cruel, it also seems by most of the rest of the lines that he still loves her and he cannot get her off his mind. Great song, but also sad. |

Nice song, nice tune... yet another "love" song from GNR... or Axl, right? I guess he's describing a relationship, as most of the new songs.
Btw, doesn't it sound a lot like an 80's song? It's not a 90's or "06" sound... but it's cool anyway. |

Great, great song... true rock... but I think it's one of the best new songs... "Better" being the best one, then "I.R.S."... "The Blues" is real good too. And plz, someone correct the lyrics and get the right ones. |

adsfkahsdf: he's talking about the music, the chords actually... that's to modulate: to go from on key to another... I dunno about the "aggravation" part. |
