i just recently got back into this album (bad breakup'll do that to a girl). anyway, the abortion bit never occurred to me. however, i couldn't figure out if it was about suicide or maybe if she had been abducted or run away... thoughts? personally, i'm almost convinced she's run away from a longeterm, terrible relationship based on some of the wording |

One of my friends committed suicide after struggling with depression. To me, that's enough for the song to relate to her, to kind of encapture her emotions towards the end of her life, but the real strong link between her and this song is that she took her life in a hotel room. It's been just over a year and a half since she left us and I still can't listen to this song without bursting into tears at the thought of her. Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful song, just conjures up bad memories. |
