| John Lennon – Imagine Lyrics | 19 years ago |

very simple, but also naive and unrealistic. Bring out all the "peace lovers". "Can't we all get along" "Why can't we give peace a chance?" Then somebody blows up a building or two... "let's try to understand them" "Let's not go to war" then we lose a few more planes and ppl still crying, "let's try and be nice" When ppl come to your country and kill ppl, THEY turned their backs on peace. NOT US!! |

| But I will have to lean on the side of Sir Paul over John. Paul certainly was more gifted. Paul is the one who has the "changes" in his songs. great example of the differences would be the most popular (probably) songs of each. The MONOTONOUS "Imagine", with its repetitious piano notes and "Band on the Run" with it's 3 different musical parts. I think that says alot right there | |

| I dunno that the song "as a whole" has a real meaning. I didn't read all 7 pages so perhaps this has been stated already, but this song is actually 2 SONGS in one. John was working on his song and Paul on his. They decided to throw them together and created this great song. | |
| Aerosmith – Walk This Way Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| no johnnyrob was making the accurate observation that alot of times simple is good. Which is true with alot of songs. | |
| Pink Floyd – Empty Spaces Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Also alot of good audio editing software allows you to play songs backwards. MUCH safer than turning your old vinyl backwards on your turntable, if it even can go backwards. | |

And a few other backmasking songs that are fairly audible and clear would be: Aerosmith - Walk this Way Queen - Another One Bites the Dust and Stairway to Heaven has a few parts that are debatable. |

| And the part that is backmasked is definitely hard to hear. Just before the REAL Lyrics begin you can hear him saying "If you are listening, this message is secret, this message is secret, this message is secret" but again it is barely audible. I never could catch the last part backwards. Only the "congratulations you have discovered the secret message please send your answer to.... never knew what the rest was. Thanks guys | |

I would definitely agree that the ALBUM as a whole is about the Music Industry and the Starry Eyed young bands getting in over their heads, and the emptiness of stardom alone, sure. But to dismiss ANY reference to Anton Levae would be wrong. As mentioned at least a couple of band members hung out with him for a time. \ As to the backmasking.. I've never heard that before, however the Pink Floyd "Empty Spaces" reference is fairly accurate. |

| Led Zeppelin – Boogie with Stu Lyrics | 19 years ago |

Big Zep fan here. However to say they didn't rip off Willie Dixon and others is absurd. They lost a court case BECAUSE they didn't credit Dixon with You Shook Me or I Can't Quit You. Not only that but the Lemon Song is basically Killing Floor lyrics. Now a good example of what taal 19 is refering to would be "Bring it on Home" Which is a Sonny Boy Williams song. This song begins as a straight rip off but then it gets all Jamming and ALL Zeppelin. But heck truth is ALL of the British invasion ppl ripped off American Blues and if they hadn't American Blues may still be unknown by most Americans. |
