I love this song, I always listen to it before I go to sleep because it's so soft and easy to listen to. It's pretty much about a person in someones' life who thinks the world revolves around them, and they "only think about themself." And the narrator is saying that they had better change their ways, or he's leaving. SUCH a good song. |

This is my favorite song on Light Grenades. I think it's pretty obvious what it's about. Brandon is pretty famous, and he's basically telling his "significant other" that if he gets conceited or if his ego gets inflated, to bring him back down to Earth. He also wants them to remind him that they'll always have each other. He's also saying that if other people bring you down, and inflict negativity upon your life, go to the person who loves you and whom you love back, and you will have each other. |

This song can either represent Davey's love for Autumn and Halloween and such, or it could be a metaphor for something much deeper. An example of a metaphor could be Davey feeling like an outcast and like he's laughed at/bullied/not taken seriously by other people, and how he hopes/knows that one day, he will rise above them, and give them "nothing but a mirthless laugh." I LOVE this song. It's my favorite on Shut Your Mouth and Open Your Eyes. |

Well, I've read what other people have written. I agree it could be about sex. It could be about many other things though, as Davey tries to be as vague as possible when he writes his songs, so people can interpret it themselves. Okay, well I KNOW that Davey isn't religious. Neither am I. But I think maybe it could be about someone who died. And since Davey was born under the sign of the rabbit, he can't reincarnate. So maybe he's saying this to someone who can, who is dying/or dead. Something like... give all of your sins to me, because it doesn't matter if I have them.. because I can't reincarnate anyway. I won't have bad karma in my next life, because I won't have a next life. So when they give their sins to him, he asks for forgiveness. Well, that could be one way to interpret it. |

Anthony was so close to her and felt so much grief that he wrote a song about her. And I think the part about the "mamas and papas", is because anthony thinks you can choose your parents in a next life. She is called "venice queen" because she lived on Venice Beach, and Anthony bought her a house there. That's where she died. | |
