It appears to be about someone the writer has had a relationaship in the past and now they have a just sex thing going on. Only the only reason he agreed to it is to keep her it some form. the echoes refer to the echoes of what use to be, i.e. their relationship. The last line refers to his faith she will one day love him again. If you were wondering on the first line it represents his amazement that she can bury the feelings she use to have to use him. However thats my verson of it. Sounds right to me, could be wrong, ask the writer. |
