these lyrics are based off of Revelations, the last book in the bible...babylon was a harlot, and the mother of all prostitues, and the beast had seven heads and ten horns. revelation 17:3-6 says: Then the angel carried me away int eh Spirit into a desert. There I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was covered with lasphemous names and had seven heads and ten horns. The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet, and was glittering with gold, perecious stones, and pearls. She held a golden cup in her hand, filled with abominable things and the filth of her adulteries. This title was written on her forehead: Mystery Babylon the Great The Mother of Prostitutes and of the abominations of the Earth.
I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of the saints, the blood of those who bore testimony to Jesus.

i cant listen to this song without thinking of two things. first is a dream i had about three years ago. and the second is the guy i am in love with and have loved for 8 months. he means more to me than anything else on this materialistic planet.
although thinking about the song it does seem like you NEED God to go on. even though this band doesnt classify themself as "christain" or whatever, most of their songs do have a relevance to God in them. |

ok. i just barely heard this song on the radio yesterday and instantly loved it. when i listened to it i thought about the guy i love because at times i love him to death but at other times i hate what hes gotten himself into (his current gf). then after listening to it a few times it reminded me of my ex and how he's probably thinking this way. and then i read the comments and i agree with the whole religious point the "hate the sin, love the sinner" thing taht liebherk put. but the lyrics are pretty self-explanatory. |

the lyrics are really beautiful. when you first listen to the song you dont realize what its about, then once you read the lyrics along w/ the song, its so beautiful. its about him telling a gurl that he loves her for real this time, that she is the one he really loves unlike the other gurls that he has told he loved although he didnt. he wants her to forget that he told those other gurls lies and he wants her to beleive him. |

At first when i heard it i LOVED it...i thought it was about losing a gurl, but then i read the lyrics and i realized it was more related to losing God. whatever this song means, its the best song by Haste the Day...i love haste the day sooooooooooooooooo much! |
