Nine Inch Nails – Into the Void Lyrics 19 years ago
I agree, I would say this song is partly about religion, trying to save himself. I think alot of people can relate to this song, because when we try to save ourselves, we make the other choice, and ourselves keep slipping away.

Radiohead – Fake Plastic Trees Lyrics 19 years ago
haha after reading all of these I feel really shallow.
To me the song is by far one of my favorites. But I always thought it was pretty self expanatory, what I got out of it,

He's having an affair with a woman in Los Angeles, ( a town full of rubber plans to get rid of itself). She's not satisfied at all with the way she looks so she has plastic surgery, surgically enhanced. I guess a big part of what made me think this way,
is because "she lives with a broken man" perhaps her older husband who
"used to do surgery for girls in the 80's" but "gravity always wins", I cant figure out any other way that to interpret some of these lyrics. Under her pretty posterior, she's very very sad, in her situation. The end could be contributed to how it's not real, he knows it, but it feels like it . Just a real desperate song all together.

George Michael – Freedom! '90 Lyrics 19 years ago
This song is about two things, it's not about him wanting to come out of the closet about his homosexuality, he didn't do that until almost ten years after this song was released.

This song is about the breakup of Wham.
It's about his image right after, with the Faith Album, and then in the end Him telling his record label to shove it, and taking his artistic creativity back.

He's speaking directly to his fans when he says
" I won't let you down, I will not give you up, I won't let YOU down, so please don't give ME up, cause I would really really love to stick around."

The Fray – Over My Head (Cable Car) Lyrics 19 years ago
The thing that makes me question if it's about a break up he's going thru, is that he doesnt say:
"she's on my mind"
he says:
" she's on YOUR mind"
I know most people won't relate it this way, since the words really can strike close to home, for anyone who's gone thru a falling out, be it a significant other or a close friend. It almost sounds to me, as if he's trying to talk to someone else, someone who's going thru a tough break up, but won't deal with it.

Words that really stick out to me,

"find another friend and you discard"
"i'm losing you and it's effortless"

Almost as if the person he's talking to is fading away in a friendship, and he won't let it go. The person won't deal with the issues they have, instead they move on instantly to the next person, or persons.

this is such a good song, it's really hard to decipher any concrete meaning, since the lyrics can be applied in so many ways.
