I think the lyrics SoNaiveYetSo sound a bit more accurate to me. I never really thought of this song as being mainly about a break-up. Although I think this is certainly part of it, I interpreted it as being mostly about how strong and deep girls can be, and how they are fearless to show this to the world, but boys feel the need to compress it. He's saying that you shouldn't need to hold it in, you should let it out, "or you can't breathe". He's admiring girls' abilities to be so strong and go through life like a livewire of emotions open to the world, carefree, while some men cannot be strong enough to do this and it just all "sticks to their heart", meaning they always carry it around with them. I'm not sure if I'm right and I'm not saying those are my personal views, this is just how I percieved the song from the moment I heard it. And frankly, I love it! :) |
