Kinda sad this song passed into oblivion. It's quirky off-tune sound mixed with an idea that really hasn't been done before (the girl at the supermarket?! c'mon!) equals what should be a successful song. Maybe the world just wasn't ready for it yet. |

Watched the video and saw this little dark creature dancing around on stage with the artists...a demon perhaps?
I agree with many of the above posts- the song is definitely a sarchastic slam on Christianity- specifically the apostle John. No worries. The Bible will still be around long after Depeche Mode is dead. |
