i think this song was written about someone who was in a relationship but it's either ended or is on it's last leg. the other person, say a girl, has been untrue and has not proven her love, but even so, he can't stop thinking about her. he knows she doesn't deserve it, and he knows that he should move on, but there's some alluring quality about her that he can't seem to get out of his mind. i've been there, and this song sums up that situation perfectly. |

i think this song is beautifully misunderstood. the music and even the video send off a vibe of some sort of long-ago romance. however, the lyrics suggest that the two people were not seriously involved with each other, and have run into each other much later with no hard feelings about going seperate ways. this song gives off a sort of melancholy, almost nostalgic feel about it, but definitely isn't your stock love song. |
