Id say that it might have something to do with Manchester being awesome =] as Morrisey names loads of other British cities, but not Manchester where he is from and uses a muse for lots of his songs could the panic refer to people being unhappy with their local music scene? just my 2 cents.. |

This song is probably one of my favourite clash songs. I love joe's singing on this its different to how he sings normally. Its much cooler. About the song...I think its strummer writing about a fictional character which he aspires to be like, this guy who the police are after. |
