i don't really like this song and i don't agree with a lot of people on here. First, this song seems to be talking about the current war, which is in iraq and has absolutely nothing to do with 9/11. I am against pointless wars, i can understand going after Bin Laden because he terrorized our country, but going to Iraq was really pointless. And second, i find this quote from gmaniac6899 totally offensive; "Unlike you left wing lunatics, I support our men and women overseas and have family and close friends who have or currently are serving abroad." Now i consider myself pretty left wing, but most left wing people i know including myself, support the troops, but not the war, there's a difference. My dad went to Iraq for a year so i know how it feels to have someone over there. So please don't go around saying all left wingers are ignorant un-americans. |

| this song along with many songs usually are written with meaning about the person who wrote it, like in this case mike wrote it about his wife in her point of view. but they write the songs so they can have a different meaning for everybody, rather it be a family member in iraq, which is what it means to me, or a family member away a lot for their job, or a parent leaving the house which is what i got from the video with the kid talking. | |
