it seems like the song is about drug addiction. The verses are a first hand account of what someone may go through while fighting addiction, while the chorus seems like a close friend trying to stop his drug use. Dallas is playing the role of the supportive friend, and george is playing the role of the addict. Dallas is telling him that 'he shouldn't have to fight alone', and georges rebuttal is 'you shouldn't have to fight at all (i think by saying this he means, "why are you fighting to help me, i don't have a problem".' It seems like He is being told he needs help, but he's denying it. i could be completely wrong, but this is the message i'm getting from the song. |

| i'm a fan of saosin and circa (saw circa in may, seeing saosin in like 10 days), and i've read up on it a little. Anthony felt like he was the only person who genuinely cared about the music, while the rest of saosin cared about looking good on stage and showboating and whatnot. That's what the whole "on, dressed to impress" meant. Anthony just wanted to to go out and do his thing, and they wanted to be larger than life rock stars it seemed. | |

johnny: you're retarded the whole frances the mute album was about a girl who was born as a result of rape and lived her life as a prostitute, to ultimately get hung on the gallows while everybody watched(in a nutshell). there are plenty of fetal references as well as abortion/prostitution references on frances the mute. |

We were basically competing with nuclear weapons(les uses cadillacs as reference to how we both wanted the newest and the best technology). The whole sputnik satellite line references to the space race. Russia sent out a sputnik satellite that made it around earth once before it fell back into our atmosphere, and the united states had to beat it, so we started building satellites. |
