| PS. The line "it's all in your head" is about how he managed to become a respectable man without his dad teaching him, but he thought he needed his dad to be able to do it but he proved himself and his family wrong :) | |

This song is about Corey never meant his dad (btw his dad isnt dead, he met him for the first time when he was 32), the line "You can't see California without Marlon Brando's eyes" to me means that you can't see the world without your dad's eyes. He uses Marlon Brando as a metaphore for his dad, becos The Godfather was one of his favourite films at the time and Marlon played the father, maybe the guy in the street shouting it may have influenced it but who knows? And the their new DVD (Voliminal) he explains how he had alot of rage when he was younger cos he didnt know his dad so this song is basically sayin "fuck you dad, you ditched me when i was born blablabla". and btw Slipknot are probably one of the best bands out atm, they blew away all the critics whos said they wldnt make it. they made a new style of music famous by bringing it in at the right time (when grunge and pop music was very popular). tbh i dnt think they give a fuck if people say their music is shit, like most bands (or wht bands shld do) they make music they like to make and play, else tbhthey would jus be selling out. Joey is prolly one of the best drummers around atm, he super fast, technical and and play the double bass drums fast than any drummer out there... and he did a drum solo upside down for god sake, need any more proof? |

This song and some others from this album is about the 2 band members who died, one in a car crash and one was run over by a car. The song is about dealing with the pain of him losing his two closest friends and how when they died he thought everything in his life was over. just my opinion =] |

"Manson and MJK are both perfect examples of why politics should not mix with music" Maynard is no where near like manson. MJK is prolly one of the greatest metal (if not all music styles) writers known to man. He doesnt reall sing about politics, yeah ok APC's latest album was about politics and war but wht do you expect... he used to be in the US army. I cba ranting on cos its pathetic how you can slag of a song writer when i very much doubt that you cld write anything better than what Maynard has writen or even Manson for that matter. So before you start slaggin off a song writer get a clue on what their songs actually mean and represent. kk thnx bye |
