I know that Ian was most likely not referring to the way i see it... But the whole song is eerily connected to an incident that happened a couple years ago to some people i knew where their car hit a train. Like the first and second verse sound like teenagers in a car going through places they knew like 'Saw the place where she'd a room to say A wife fence where the children played' then it goes to like a prophecy of what was too come 'Saw the bed where the body lay And I was looking for a friend of mine' Then in the second verse it says 'The cars screeched hear the sound on dust Heard a noise just a car outside Metallic blue turned red with rust' like describing the car. The third verse is the most coincidental. 'No stomach, torn apart Nail me to a train Had to think again Trying to find a clue, trying to find a way to get out Trying to move away, had to move away and keep out Four, twelve windows, ten in a row' Nailed to the train cant get away... the pain aswell... dont know how to get out... Then it goes 'The lights shined like a neon show Inserted deep felt a warmer glow No place to stop, no place to go No time to lose, had to keep on going' The train windows.. the lights it produces, had to keep going to see if you could beat it. Then 'I guess they died some time ago I guess they died some time ago And I was looking for a friend of mine' The person who was the driver looking for his friends after the incident... The driver was the one to survive and the two passangers dies.. Its really strange... cos he had no memory of the actual accident, the whole day of the accident even. Its strange... Thats what this song reminds me of. |

I think this is about how Brian and his Christianity, or the lack of it, 'if you deny this then its your fault, that Gods in crisis, hes over' means if you deny your Christianity then God is in crisis. And the Everytime I rise I see you falling' bit is about everytime Brian lets God out of his life and leaves his morals he has fun or does better in work but God falls out of his life, then he say 'Can you find me space in you bleeding heart' means he wants forgiveness for what he has done and wants God to welcome him again. Well thats how I see it anyway.... |

| Placebo – Bigmouth Strikes Again (The Smiths cover) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| i think this version is much better than the smiths version, the Placebo version has got much more emotion in it eg. at the stat when he says "sweetness......" its in a really sarcastic voice!!! its brilliant!!! the smiths version is blunt, thats what i think! | |
| Placebo – The Bitter End Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| this was the first Placebo song i heard and i've liked them ever since, this song seems to mean that hes like a stalker or assasin, wanting to kill this person and thats why he says bitter end, as in, i'll see you at the bitter end which is a threat. Well that what i think i just came up with that so its probably completely wrong...... | |
