The Cranberries – Forever Yellow Skies Lyrics 19 years ago
This song seems to me, airplane-nut that I am, that Dolores is just describing "flying away" from a relationship. This is evident in the title and at the end where it sounds like there's a propeller running. Flying has always been a symbol of being carefree, and talking about an ex while just flying away is just her saying, I'm not going to trouble myself with someone like you anymore

The Cranberries – Stars Lyrics 19 years ago
This song mostly describes when I wanted just to get away from it all, "The stars are bright tonight and I am walking nowhere." and also of my current love life. When I am all dolled up on Friday nights, the guys love me, but I not sure that even one of them would like my guise of a Saturday afternoon, that is, covered in horse poo, angry, and sweaty. thus my long time dream of "I'll take you just the way you are!"

stubblejumper, I thought I heard an inkling of this nine-month-old getting shot more in "When Will the Icicle Melt" more than in this one , but if you say so....

The Cranberries – You And Me Lyrics 19 years ago
Dolores's family life aside: About the time I first listened to this song, (2003) my 6th grade language arts and homeroom teacher was dying of cancer. I won't lie to you. After about two weeks, after she died, every time i heard this song, I could feel her presence nearby. It's a pretty ground shaking thing when your teacher dies right after you have her class. The "Bury the Hatchet" cd was really close to me because when I bought it I had so many demons in me and this whole album expressed that.
