how could someone complain about an artist's changing up his style? Kanye is ultimately a rapper but he's an ARTIST, artists always try something new in their field and sometimes switch around. I personally don't think its his best work, his VMAs performance was the only thing that almost attempted to save the show, it was amazing but the studio recorded one sounds so amateur like it was made in a kid's basement. the beat is so dope and fly, which a little alternative flavor to it. i hope kanye fixes this up so this song's lyrics can live to its potential. it's a great break up song. it may be different to some people's taste but i feel kanye is still working around in his element; he has the piano which he uses alot in his songs. i think people will fall for it later on if they don't like it now, it's great right now but i just hope he records a better version. |

Definitely one of my favorite songs at the moment! Santogold is great, I'm so glad she is around. It wasn't until I was high one day I decided to look up the lyrics. The beat was captivating enough but I read lyrics and I was blown away. It's haunting and uplifting in the same way, I can relate a lot to "Anne." I love the line, "See it there, but it's too far ahead/Go numb from how bad I want it." It reminds of how the affects of drugs can make you indifferent, passive and numb in life. You need a rescuing hand when it gets rough even if you try your hardest, you can need someone or some higher being to help you out. That's my take on the song, I would really love to know what inspired her to write this song, if Anne really exists and what is actually going on! Great song though, I truly love it! |

This is song definitely deep, I don't think it's really questioning the existence of God but rather the whole existence of life being without the person you love so much. The song is a bit dramatic and make it seems like he's deciding whether God exists or not, but I have to go more on the loving someone so much and not wanting be alive without them there. This song is ridiculously amazing, I've been hearing it on repeat for about an hour now! This is what Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy" did for me, both these songs have well thought lyrics, however "Crazy" was diminished by it's catchy and rhythmic beat and the same might happen to "Black & Gold". This will probably be one of the few catchy and embracive songs that will never get the respect for its strong lyrics but for its beat! I can't till it becomes a hit in the U.S. it's not even on Itunes in the U.S.! |

1st off...i'm amazed that a song from timbaland and she wants revenge is this awesome...but of course timbaland is amazing in general he can work with anyone!! n yeh of course she wants revenge is awesome =] yeh i agree w/ the comment above its about a girl whos messing around w/ an honest guy who honestly...does not want to be with her. at first he's too nice but now he's telling goodbye, he knows what they're doing is wrong and it's not his fault that her man cannot give her the love that she needs. |

true bloc is known to to have deep meanings like suicide and such but this time i think they are talking about depression... it seems like a guy is explaining to someone how the girl feels. she's lonely, feeling empty which sounds similar to depression. She wants someone to save her, a hero. so the guy decides to be her hero, because he can make her happy and laugh, not be depressed anymore.he says well since i'm a guy and you're a girl we should get together, forget about some certain things i will lift the burdens off your shoulder if we spend some time right now and we'll see how it goes from there. that's what i got from the song, i'ts really beautiful just like ALL of their other songs, Bloc Party is amazing, seriously. |
