This song seems to be about someone who had a bad relationship because she tried to trust her heart but ended up broken. Now she's questioning every feeling in her heart since it led her to such pain before, but she desperately wants to push all her thoughts aside and go for what *feels* right.

Cool song. Sometimes it sounds like they're saying "bumpkin boy", sometimes it sounds like "pumpkin boy"...I can't tell which it really is (maybe both?). But a bumpkin is someone who is considered simple, uneducated, unsophisticated. If they are saying "bumpkin", I think it's used in a condescending way.

the song is supposed to sound exactly how it does. it's supposed to make you think "what are they doing? this crap isn't music" and then the lyrics make you realize it IS music. it wouldn't have the intended effect if it sounded "normal"
