I'll just sum everything that people had said. Karl Marx: "Religion is the opium of the people" Opiate is an alkaloid that is found in opium. And opium is simply a drug. If you're a drug addict, you cannot funtion normally, without taking the drug. You have to be high, otherwise, you see the boring gray world. (Some people see the beauty of the world without taking drugs) Religion is something that drives the masses, like a drug. If there's hope, an afterlife, then there's something to live for. Religion keeps them content. Religion has answers to many questions, it makes choices for you: "Choices always were a problem for you. What you need is someone strong to guide you." Most people believe in God/practise religion, but simply don't know why: "Deaf and blind and dumb and born to follow" All they need "is someone strong to guide" them. I don't say, that priests, rabbis are bad. But what if they say thing like: "My Gods will becomes me. When he speaks out, he speaks through me. He has needs like I do. We both want to rape you" or "Now don't you judge or question" Till that point, I think that this song is about "agents" that someone mentioned before. One thing, I cannot understand, is the phrase: "Jesus Christ, why don't you come save my life now Open my eyes and blind me with your light" I remember that one character in bible was a very naughty person. One time, he saw Jesus, and was blinded by his light. From that time, he believed in God. Can someone back me up on this? Maybe those two lines are said by someone, who sees the lies of the political leaders and is looking desperatly for Christ? |

At first I thought this song was about a poor guy who fell in love with a rich girl. Yeah, it's crap :P I agree totally with atomsplitter. As for the term "catch without arms". It's impossible to play catch without arms. What can you do without arms in "catch"? Nothing. And that what the music industry does (or doesn't ;). They do nothing. They're playing catch without arms. All the songs they promote are the same, shallow, etc., etc. ... |
