I still find Stan better. This is a great song and both Marshall Mathers and The Eminem show were great albums, but everything he realeses after Lose Yourself really sucks. Encore? Yea, well, it's better than 50 Cent, but it's still just crap. I used to love Eminem, Mobb Deep, Dr. Dre and all the others but hip-hop has changed. It's all about girls, sex and drugs. What's the fucking point? I listen to alternative rock now, because that's the only genre really moving and innovative. |

Alright, I'm going to take a different view of this song. I believe it's about a person who loves another person, but then one of them dies. And it's a third persons fault (i'll refer to him as killer - he didn't kill him intentionally) In the chorus and the last verse before the chorus, the main charakter is speaking to the killer who accidently killed the girl's boyfriend (or friend), and he's trying to explain what happend. In the verses she is talking to the dead friend or boyfriend. "Hush hush darling" This would be the need for the girl to feel comfort and security, going through this tough time and the killer is the only one around. "As we die, both you and I" would be a good example. Meaning she dies in spirit or what you'll call it, while he actually dies. "I know you good I know you good I know you real good oh " Meaning she knows what the killer has to say, and therefor knows him. She's basically putting him in a box called 'evil' |

Here's my take: "She seemed dressed in all of me" She's basically 'inside him', it's the way he looks at her. "Stretched across my shame. All the torment and the pain" He can't have her, which causes him a lot of pain "Leaked through and covered me" He let his guard down, allowing him to feel the pain caused by not having her. "I'd do anything to have her to myself. Just to have her for myself" Explains itself "Now I don't know what to do. I don't know what to do. When she makes me sad" He doesn't know what to do because she isn't like he imagined, but he is still madly in love with the person he imagined "She is everything to me. The unrequited dream" The dream of her is everything to him, though she doesn't feel the same... Don't know if that makes sense........ "A song that no one sings" Basically saying, that nobody can actually get her "The unattainable" Same as above "She's a myth that I have to believe in" He has to believe that she's the person he imagined because he needs her so badly. I love this line! "All I need to make it real is one more reason" A reason to talk to her? To find out that she is the girl he imagined I don't know what to do I don't know what to do When she makes me sad "But I won't let this build up inside of me" He won't become completely obsessed with her "I catch in my throat Choke Torn into pieces I won't - no I don't wanna be this" He doesn't want to become a stalker. "But I won't let this build up inside of me" "She isn't real I can't make her real" She isn't who he imagined, and h ejust realised that se never will be either |

It's supposed to be 2:54. You can hear when it's supposed to end (I had the "long version" before i cut the 46 ekstra seconds of) This song isn't bad. I don't get whan people are talking about.
