ATB – Long Way Home Lyrics 17 years ago
To me this song repressents the lingering emotions that someone stills has after a break-up with the one that they love(d); regardless of the how long ago that may have been. For example, it's been a long day and you just got off of work. Your driving and you pass the place where you shared your first kiss. Those memories, emotions come back to life. You can not pull away just yet, so you keep on driving, thus passing other old haunts. You remenber their smell, their touch and you can't help to be engulf in the bittersweet arua of love. You understand that you never should have broken it off for shallow reasons, thus you regret living more in the future with out him than living in the past with him. You turn into that teenage boy who wishes to move on via losing his virginity, than to stay in this limbo of unhappiness.

The Fray – How To Save A Life Lyrics 19 years ago
Most people who feel truly in sync with this song most likely had this conversation. With me his name was T*****. He a mesa smart, handsome, very wealthy, was hooked on drugs and had one of the worst family life one could image. At the age of 17 he told me that he’ll be died by the age of 18 years old – he was right, though at the time I thought he was going through what all teenagers go through. We had the ‘talk’, I looked right and he looked left. He knew what I was saying, he just didn’t care. There was a sense of anger, bitterness that I wasn’t the one who could save him. It’s sad that we both knew that I would have stayed with him that night, it’s just that he never signal that course of action was need. I would like to claim that it was innocence, natively that I couldn’t recognize the different but instead I gave him an ultimatum. Though he didn’t die that night, I heard a few weeks later that he OD. If only I knew how to save that life…

A Perfect Circle – Orestes Lyrics 19 years ago
On the surface level the story is based on Orestes, son of Agamemnon, in Greek mythology (a play all should read). However, the backbone of the story is one all can relate to; being in a situation in which there is no win-win solution. The sensations of trap lead us all to feel the precious moment of silence and peace, and it proves how far one is willing to go to collect it.

it's funny but every time I hear this song I think of myself when I was a happy blond hair blue eyes 5 year-old girl with my father.

The Fray – All At Once Lyrics 19 years ago
It’s so A typical of human nature to reject a good – but not amazing – person. We all long for person that is always present in other dreams yet gone in real life. By delaying the moment in which you realizes this, you jeopardize the chance you have at this person. The hardest thing is to let go of illusions and return back to reality. Sometimes we need pain to realize the positive aspects of life. Equilibrium is present through every aspect of our lives, it’s just hard balance our ying and yang.

Talking Heads – This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody) Lyrics 19 years ago
Am I the only who finds the repeated question of ‘home’ interesting. It total reminds me of “Less than zero” and “The rules of Attraction”. It’s sad how the narrator is seduced into this feeling of safely and purpose yet at the same time realizes that any moment it can just end. This nativity allows me, at the very least, to see the perspective of a youth—most likely a undergrad – whose’s finally found a meaning in a hollow life.

Breaking Benjamin – Sooner or Later Lyrics 19 years ago
Being selfless and ignoring the warning signs- which are the usually side-effects of being in love- leads us into situations in which we're throwing 'our life away'. Don't let your emotions drive your life; instead rationalize the present to prevent the future.
