| It's about a love triangle. The girl is in a relationship with one guy, but she's in love with her close friend who "treats her like a child" (tu me traites, comme un grand enfant). The one part I'm confused about is whether he loves her back (toi tu m'aime un peu plus fort) or she just wishes he did. But anyways, they go on spending time time with each other even though they know it isn't right (alors que nos têtes nous crient de tout arrêter). i think it was about a short but deep relationship, and they lived far apart. at first he's saying how much she means to him and he wants to make it work but she doesn't "got no faith in things that you can't see". as the song goes on, he realizes that he doesn't need her as much as he thought he did. "don't get me wrong, i'm not impressed with you no more" This song exactly fits me right now. I had a two week summer relationship with this guy whom I thought was amazing. When we both had to return home, at least a thousand miles apart, we kept in touch a lot at first. We did break up because he had long distance relationship issues. Slowly, he started to drift away, and I was wrecked because I thought he was the absolute perfect guy for me, and I'd never find someone as good again. I saw him in october and the whole emotional rollercoaster started all over again, and I was asking for him to try to make an LDR work. By now I've realized that I don't need him, and there are other guys, just not in my hometown. So basically, I'm not impressed with him no more. |
