Good transcription - only slight error is in the penultimate verse. It's not "Oh, time has leering on". The words are "Our time has nearly gone". Great tune. |

To me, it's about a couple who feel alienated from everyone and everything except themselves ("it's just you and me"). Everything is so foreign to them; things aren't what they used to be ("our friends all left"). "They're playing soul at the wrong speed" is a great lyric. |
